On November, 1 at the Beau Rivage Hotel in the capital of Switzerland, in presence of 700 witnesses, Juan Carlos Torres, the CEO of Vacheron Constantin had the honor to receive the Jury Prize for the Watch of the Year 2007. The prize Montre de l'Annee 2007 was awarded to Patrimony Contemporaine Retgograde Day and Date timepiece – the watch that amazes by its perfection.
The jury was delighted with the technical impeccability and elegant design of the watch by Vacheron Constantin that features all the nice properties that are characteristic of all watches from Vacheron Constantin, the company that has been issuing marvelous watches for already 250 years. Juan-Carlos Torres expressed his gratefulness to the jury for their high estimation of the model. He said he will be glad to share this prestigious award with everyone who participated in development of Patrimony Contemporaine Retrograde Day and Date.
The watch incorporates a double complication self-winding movement that was manufactured in the brand's workshops.The watch features calibre 2460 R31 R7 that provides hour and minute retrograde and date functions that has a stamp of Geneva Hallmark.
The model features case that is made out of 18 K pink gold. It measures 42.5 mm in diameter. The perfect movement of the watch can be admired through the convex sapphire back.
Each year the two watch magazines Montres Passion and Uhrenwelt give the Watch of the Year Prize to the best watch of the year. The jury consists of professionals relevant to watch making.
