There are many reasons why Hublot Company can put on airs. And one of these reasons is that its brand new timepiece unites functions of the unordinary tourbillion and complicated column wheel chronograph. The point of this masterpiece is the direct connection between the chronograph wheel and the flying tourbillion.

The name of the first column wheel chronograph directly connected to the tourbillion cage is Bigger Bang. It is considered to be the latest great achievement of the Hublot workshops. Visually, this great achievement (movement of chronograph and a column wheel) can be observed on the dial of the watch at twelve o'clock position.

If you look at the Bigger Bang watch, you will see that every little part of the movement is thoroughly finished. For activation of the watch chronograph there is a push-piece to be pressed. It is possible to see the work of the watch movement' heart, that is a column wheel system.

The outstanding construction of the Bigger Bang includes the so-called flying tourbillion that measures 13 and 1/4 lines (its diameter equals to thirty millimeters) housed in a 13 mm diameter cage without ball bearings. It is raised almost 3 mm above the base of the bottom plate. This remarkable achievement of horology engineering numbers almost three hundred elements. All of these components are assembled and synchronized with the highest precision which creates the impression of the tourbillion hanging above the dial's surface (that's where the term 'flying' comes from) by this means making it admirable from different angles.

In addition to all the technical and visual achievements this timepiece features a Gyromax type balance, as well as five days power reserve function. Speaking about the design of Bigger Bang flying tourbillon, there are thirty three rubies, an unusually engraved bottom plate, embellished with the black gold with the exceptionally exclusive bridgework on its top. This bridgework reminds the two-wheel gear by its shape. The black skeleton watch featuring the sunray pattern is a logical addendum to the whole watch design concept.
