IWC Spotted in Miami Vice
The 2006 is the year when IWC watches hit the screen. A Universal Picture film that represents danger in the undercover work is entitled Miami Vice. In order to outline the modern aspect of Miami and Miami Vice the two models of IWC were included. These include the IWC Portuguese Chrono-Automatic and the IWC Aquatimer Split Minute Chronograph.
Ricardo Tubbs, the role of which is played by Jammie Fox, is a detective that is street smart. He wore on his wrist the IWC Portuguese Chrono-Automatic in the daytime scenes of the movie. The new modern look of Miami Vide was created due to the large sleek dial, black face and a silver sub dial of the IWC Portuguese Chrono-Automatic.
As for the scenes in the nighttime, detective Tubbs wore on his wrist the IWC Aquatimer Split Minute Chronograph. This choice was made because of the luminous elements, clearly laid-out dial and the lightweight titanium case and bracelet.
The exotic hot locations like Paraguay and Uruguay were the perfect reason to wear Aquatimer day and night.
Thus Miami Vice gained fans from both sides: the movie side and the watch industry side. The July 28 can be considered an important page in the history of International Watch Company as the appearance of the IWC Portuguese Chrono-Automatic and the IWC Aquatimer Split Minute Chronograph surely had a positive impact on people who appreciate the works of the famous brand.
The television series that had a cultural influence on public are not forgotten. The movie is about cops whose badges do not count in the places where they do their dangerous job. They fight against the transportation of drugs. Ricardo Tubbs and Trudy are the two undercover policemen who transport drugs to South Florida in order to identify the responsible for three murders.
